Eco Housing Solutions Africa (EHS) has announced a strategic partnership with UniSteel to advance Uganda’s urbanisation agenda and promote stronger, safer and more sustainable infrastructure across East Africa.
The partnership will be showcased at the 20th Homes and Gardeners Expo, taking place on 5–6 September 2026 at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel Gardens. UniSteel will exhibit its products and engage developers, architects, engineers, contractors, policymakers, financial institutions and prospective homeowners attending the regional event.
As demand for housing, commercial developments, transport infrastructure and modern urban services expands, access to dependable construction materials remains essential. The partnership positions UniSteel as an important contributor to the quality, resilience and long-term performance of the region’s built environment.
Dr. Edwin Musiime, Group Managing Director of Eco Housing Solutions Africa, described the partnership as timely and strategically aligned with East Africa’s rapidly changing urban landscape.
“This partnership comes at a defining moment when Uganda and the wider East African region are experiencing unprecedented demand for housing, infrastructure and organised urban development,” Dr. Musiime said.

He added that the partnership would help connect UniSteel with influential decision-makers shaping the region’s construction and development agenda.
The Homes and Gardeners Expo will run alongside the Urbanisation Forum 2026, creating an integrated platform for policy dialogue, investment mobilisation, product demonstration and professional networking.
Through the partnership, EHS and UniSteel aim to encourage responsible construction, strengthen industry collaboration and promote the use of quality materials in building cities capable of serving future generations.
